Jennifer E. Duty practices in the areas of bankruptcy and commercial litigation, representing Chapter 7 and 11 trustees as well as secured and unsecured creditors. Ms. Duty has represented fiduciaries in professional negligence actions and is well regarded for her strong research and writing abilities that have allowed her to obtain favorable results for her clients, while minimizing the costs of litigation.Ms. Duty obtained her undergraduate degree from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo and her law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California. While at Southwestern, she served as Notes & Comments Editor for Southwestern's Law Review and had her article addressing evidentiary issues in child abuse cases published. Ms. Duty was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2006 and is admitted to each of the federal district courts located within California. She is also an active member of the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum and the San Diego County Bar Association, Bankruptcy Law Section.
